A view near my place in Toronto
Hi again, if it’s not already obvious, my name is Lee and I’m a sysadmin working in Toronto for b5media. I moved with no plans and no job from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Toronto 2 years ago with my boyfriend Jason. I worked from home for the first year doing flex/actionscript development and when I got bored of that, I went out in search of work in my preferred field; anything to do with unix/linux.
Moving to Toronto has been a fantastic experience in so many ways:
- Turns out, everyone’s right… gays are so gay for the big city.
- Lucked into an incredible group of friends.
- I discovered I wasn’t fat and hairy, I was a bear. To quote a friend, “it’s not chest hair, it’s currency”.
- Found an amazing job with a fantastic group of people.
